Hotels in Oceanside

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Oceanside, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Oceanside hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.

Great views, only downside is the train (which never bothered me but if you get annoyed by this kind of thing it will definitely irritate), however I understand a new ordinance should be changing horn usage to emergency only soon. Getting to the beach can be tricky if any trouble with stairs, we coordinate vehicle pick ups for my grandmother who can’t do the stairs. Family focused and more like a condo than hotel, studio to 4 bedrooms avail, can even have a washer and dryer! Studio is perfect for one person (like me), standard hotel experience. Overall this is the best option for vacation stay in Oceanside, in my opinion. Really love it and looking forward to coming back next year!

The second thing that upset me since I was paying $125 a night is the breakfast was Frosted Flakes with milk and toast and a banana. I have sugar diabetes and unable to eat a full carbohydrate meal. We ate the banana and had to buy breakfast elsewhere. The next thing that upset me was that my sheets were not changed nightly and the bugs that were in the room continually.

Breakfast was nothing fancy but sufficient for a good day's start, saved us one meal cost every day, great value. Clean bathtub, with good water pressure & hot water. A few glitches: - our key cards didn't work on two different days, despite being careful to not de-magnetize them, Quickly replaced at front desk, but a hassle. - our room was not serviced one day, perhaps because we had the do-not-disturb on our door until noon, but it should have been done in the afternoon. - WiFi was slooow, often dropped mid-connection, & often needed re-validation. Quite irritating just for casual use, would have made work use intolerable.

Lighting was good, and the room had a full size couch and coffee table. Having a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker was a plus, as some of the hotels I've stayed in don't have all that. One thing I wasn't very fond of were the pillows. They were tiny and rough, feeling like it had cracked styrofoam inside. That made it hard to get comfortable at bedtime. The refrigerator was making loud knocking sounds most of the time. The breakfast was okay, but not exactly great, and the coffee leaves a lot to be desired - but they had waffle makers, which I liked. Regardless, I wouldn't mind staying here again. Great parking too.

(Two hours later, still sitting there. The guys poor wife was half way laying on her him trying to sleep). So during check out, I requested to use my prepaid Visa card (had $90 remaining on it). The clerk told me that he couldn't do that and began to check me out as an all cash purchase. I was told that it wasn't possible to do and pretty much it is what it is. I was a little upset about this, since I know it is possible and maybe he didn't know how to process it. So I then asked about a luggage cart and the clerk told me that it is over there and points towards the front door. I didn't think twice again about this until after I got the car unloaded. I then go to the area he pointed and see no cart or anything else that I could use to move the my stuff

Really nice hotel, the staff was friendly and the rooms are very clean. The continental breakfast was a nice light assortment to get the day started. Renovation is going on right now, so it is a little noisy during the day. It was an issue with a bath tub in room 210, the faucet was spinning, it was not easy to determine where is hot water starts running. Also the plug in the tub was not tight, had to keep adding water. It was hard to take nice hot bath after long day of walking.

We arrived early being that they told us we could request a certain room but it was first come first serve. At 1pm we showed up at the office the one girl who sits on the left side of window was very accommodating, however, the girl on the right side, who we got when we came back to the office was somewhat rude, we were hoping for room 10 or 5, she offered us a room on the bottom opposite side, still telling us those rooms were not ready we were there before anyone else and she was still not sure about letting us wait for one of those rooms. Not accommodating what so ever, would have been different if she said, "sure will have that ready for you after it is ready, you are here first." But no it was almost like they were saving it for someone else, waiting for their arrival. We let her know we would wait in the garage and she got quiet and did not know what to say, we requested when we booked because that is what were told to do, then we were told we could not do that after getting there then told first come first served. Management needs to properly train what to say to customers and have proper etiquette . Both girls had different answers when we were there first but we still were not treated that way. The dishes were not clean at all, we had to rewash everything. The noise from the people on top you could hear the people sliding the chairs around, maybe put rugs underneath. More fans in the rooms would be great being that the rooms are so hot and there is no air conditioning, which made it muggy. We were in northside bottom ocean corner and it was not decorated just plain not inviting at all. The biggest thing was the service, terrible.

Traveler impressions of Oceanside (CA)

We stayed in Oceanside only because our son in law is a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton close by. We were pleasantly surprised to find a quaint walkable down town area with a very nice beach, pier, harbor, all accessible by walking or biking paths.

There are many small and good cafes, bistros, and diners down town, at the harbor, and including a good diner on the end of the enormous pier. The beach is large and watersports, especially fishing and surfing are popular. The weather was fantastic in May with cool weather suitable for long walks or bike rides.

The room we had was a little tight, but given that it was the lowest priced room, it was adequate. I liked that they had both outlets and USB charging ports on the side tables and desk, and there was more than one on each location. That was a great convenience.
